The runtime in Etch Studio.

Studio has no plugins, so the runtime is a set of files your project carries.

Set it up

  1. Download the filesYour account, Downloads, The EtchPress runtime files.
  2. Unzip themYou get a flat list of script files. Keep the names as they are.
  3. Drop them into the Asset ManagerOpen your Studio project's Asset Manager and add all of them. They sit side by side; no folders.
  4. Paste a showpieceIt finds the files on its own.

What gets published

Studio ships a file only when a page uses it. Each showpiece names the files it needs, so your published site carries those and nothing else.

Updating

When a new runtime version is out, download the files again and replace the ones in the Asset Manager. The changelog says when a showpiece needs a newer runtime.

Checking it worked

Publish, open the page, and the showpiece should move. If it shows its still version, a file is missing from the Asset Manager: add the full set again.
