A row of large photo cards for selected work. In the spotlight layout the centred card is bright with an outline and a caption on a dark scrim, and its neighbours sit dimmed at the edges; two or three in view makes it a plain row. Swipe, drag with the mouse, use the arrows or the keyboard; a counter and a progress line keep the place, a zoom opens the picture full size, and autoplay comes with a Pause control. Native scroll snap with one small script, no plugin.

A selected work section on a studio or contractor home page. A gallery of finished projects with captions and a full size view. A row of two or three photo cards for services, locations or rooms. A testimonial or case study reel that advances on its own, with a Pause control.

States shown
Rest: the first card active, the neighbours dimmed and slightly smaller (spotlight) or every card whole (row); dragging; gliding after an arrow or a key; the arrows disabled at each end; hover and press on the arrows, the zoom and the Pause control; the track takes focus and the arrow keys move it; autoplay playing, held while the pointer or the focus is inside, paused; the lightbox open (Escape or the backdrop closes it). Under 36rem of room a card is 84% wide and 4:5 with the category and title. Reduced motion: no intro, no autoplay, instant moves, no fades.
How to change it
Content and options are 10 props in the component's settings panel. Colour, type, spacing and radius follow your Automatic.css settings, so a change to the site's palette or scale changes this too. For anything else, edit the classes in the Style Manager, starting with .showcase. Its behaviour is a small script that travels with the component; no plugin and nothing to install.
ACSS tokens used
space-s, space-m, text-xs, text-s, h5, radius, radius-circle, primary, white, text-dark, text-dark-muted, neutral-ultra-light, focus tokens; –ep-font-mono and –ep-ease-out with fallbacks.
ACSS requirements
ACSS 4 defaults. Nothing to switch on. Place it under a section heading: its card titles are H3. The EtchPress Motion stylesheet only softens the lightbox's opening.
