Scroll scene: steps
Steps that scroll past while one picture stays in view and changes to match the step you are reading. Beside the steps on a wide screen, held at the top on a phone. Needs the EtchPress Runtime; without it each step simply has its picture above it.

How it works
Four steps, one crew.

We walk the ground
An hour on site with a notebook: where the water sits, where the light falls, what you want to keep.

We draw it
A measured plan and a planting list, priced line by line, so you know what you are saying yes to.

We build it
One crew from the first trench to the last paver. You get a date and we keep it.

We come back
A visit in the first spring to check what took, replace what did not, and set the irrigation.

Before you copy
This is a showpiece. It pastes into Etch like any other item and it is complete without anything else, but its motion comes from the EtchPress runtime: a small script that loads only on the pages that use a showpiece.
Etch for WordPress: download the EtchPress Runtime plugin from Downloads in your account, install it and activate it. Paste your licence key under Settings, EtchPress Runtime, and it updates from the Plugins screen like any other plugin.
Etch Studio: download the EtchPress runtime files from Downloads in your account, unzip them and drop them into your project's Asset Manager, then paste the item. Studio ships the files it needs with your site.
What you can build with it
How a service works, step by step. A product tour with a screenshot per feature. A case study told in stages. An onboarding or process page.
Props
eyebrow (text, optional); title (text, optional); steps (repeater: image, alt, title, text)
States shown
Scrolling: the step nearest the middle of the screen is lit and its picture fades in over the last one; the others dim. The same on touch. Reduced motion and no runtime: every step with its own picture, nothing dimmed.
How to change it
Content and options are 3 props in the component's settings panel. Colour, type, spacing and radius follow your Automatic.css settings, so a change to the site's palette or scale changes this too. For anything else, edit the classes in the Style Manager, starting with .scene-steps. Its behaviour is a small script that travels with the component; no plugin and nothing to install.
ACSS tokens used
space-xs, space-s, space-m, space-l, space-xl, radius, h3, text-s, primary-dark, text-dark-muted, header-height.
ACSS requirements
ACSS 4 defaults. Needs the EtchPress Runtime, 0.6.0 or later: the EtchPress Runtime plugin on WordPress, or the runtime's files dropped into the project's Asset Manager in Etch Studio. Without it you get the still version.
